Beth Pearce, Democratic nominee for State Treasurer, has been endorsed by the Vermont Troopers’ Association. In voting to endorse Treasurer Pearce, the Vermont Troopers Association cited her leadership as an advocate for protecting the pensions of public servants.

Pearce, who became Treasurer in 2011 and won election in 2012, has a strong record of working well with Troopers and other law enforcement to find solutions to retirement issues

Currently campaigning for re-election in November, Treasurer Pearce said she is proud to receive support from those who dedicate their lives to serving the people of Vermont.

“It is an honor to be endorsed by the Vermont Troopers’ Association,” Pearce noted. “State Troopers put themselves in harm’s way to protect us everyday. These public servants earn the right to dignity in retirement, which is why I will continue to work with partners to secure adequate funding for their pensions.”

The Vermont Troopers’ Association is the exclusive bargaining agent for the Troopers, Corporals, and Sergeants, including Detectives, of the Vermont State Police. The VTA represents almost 300 sworn officers across Vermont. The VTA’s mission is to advocate for its members and work on their behalf to help them more effectively administer justice and keep Vermont communities safe.
